The world renowned National Theatre is a dominating brutalist structure on London’s South Bank. The building commands wonderful views across the Thames towards St Paul’s and Somerset House from its series of interlocking concrete terraces. Once described by Prince Charles as “a nuclear power station” Denys Lasdun’s National Theatre has divided public opinion since its completion in 1976.
Created by Chisel & Mouse, who like to make “beautiful models of cool architecture”. Hand made in their farm workshop in rural West Sussex, using a mixture of modern techniques of 3D design and printing, as well as traditional techniques of moulding and casting.
